Hello, hello my friends.
Can I just take a moment to say that I love all of y'all. You are just the best and I'm so grateful for the support that you've all given me during my mission and honestly my whole life.
Anyway here's a lil rundown of my week...
This week we had MLC! (mission leadership council) This is the 3rd time I've gone to MLC because I'm comps with the STL. It's actually so fun, I get all the inside scoop and none of the responsibility. But I love MLC, we got a bunch of good revelation from our mission leaders and APs. That same day we had a phone call with one of our friends, Mackenzie! We taught her the Restoration and SHE LOVED IT! She ate it up, we are so excited to teach her more.
Let me tell you something, it was raining this week. And in Alabama when it rains, it pours... literally. So on Thursday we were out doin our missionary thing and it was POURIN and we started talking to this lady in her car and we were getting drenched. She was so sweet and felt so bad for us that she came and stood out in the rain with us. (Idk how that helped either of us become less soaking wet, but we appreciated it.) We are going to visit her again this week and hopefully teach her more!
On Friday the wildest thing happened, we saw these two ladies and started talking to them to find out one of them is the mother of one of our recent converts who is completely inactive and turned her back on the church, the other one is the grandmother of someone we had met and gave a BofM to a couple months back. So we were talking to these ladies and I already knew their kids and grandkids it was wild. It really goes to show that God puts us places at certain times for a reason and he really is in the details of our lives.
On Saturday we got to go to the Woods for Josey's birthday party! Oh my goodness it was so fun to be there with them and celebrate with them. They are all just the sweetest.
Also fun little thing- we saw so many cats this week! Okay we always see a lot of cats because there are a million stray cats in Scottsboro, but they were really cute this week.
Spiritual thought:
In preparation for Zone conference we have been studying in preach my gospel the chapter about finding people to teach and there is one part that I love so much, it says "Have patient confidence that He will lead you to them, or them to you" and I love the phrase patient confidence. We have faith and trust in the Lord but we also know that everything is in His timing. It can be hard to wait for things that we want right now, but I know that God has way bigger plans for all of us than we could every imagine... so have patient confidence in that
I love y'all
Thank you so much for the messages you send me and I'm sorry if I haven't responded to you.
Have the best week
❤️Sister Hansen
