2/5/24 - WEEK 48 - Another week in Scotty B!

Hey everyone!!!!
Idk why I've got extra space at the top, but I hope y'all like it.

This week we had ZONE CONFERENCE! and it was so good! Sister Springer and I were asked to do a role play on how to put someone on date to be baptized and we were so nervous, but it went well! We did it! I just love our mission president and his wife they are so amazing and so inspired. When we got back to Scottsboro we realized we left our coats at the church building in Huntsville.... an hour away. So it was a cold week for us.

On Wednesday we got to meet our friend Mackenzie for the first time in person! We've talked with her on the phone before but never met her because she was found through facebook! She's really cool and loving the Book of Mormon!

The next day Jamie came to Scottsboro and we got to have a lesson with her and then she took us to lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Later that day the Woods took us out to eat at the same Mexican restaurant lol.

On Friday we met this really cool lady named Allison! She knows one of the members in our branch and she was crying while we were talking to her. We just know that God led us to her.

On Saturday we had an awesome lesson over Zoom with our friend Magi! He basically said that he knows that he will be baptized into this church one day!!! Missionaries have been really pushy with him in the past so we're trying not to do that but it was really good!

Yesterday our member Sister Reyes invited us over for dinner because she made arepas con carne. She said they took 3 days to make the meat filling and they were SCRUM DILLLYYYYY!  I love Sister Reyes, she's amazing. Actually I just love all the members in the Scottsboro branch, they're amazing.

Spiritual thought:
I just love the scripture Ether 2:25 it talks about the people of the brother of Jared in their little boats crossing the sea and God asks what they want Him to give them so they will have light. And I love thinking about that in relation to our lives. We will go through hard things and cross great deeps and darkness, but God will prepare a way for us to have light and to find joy. I just love that God is so aware of us and our lives.

I'm sorry this is so chaotic, but I love y'all!
Have a great week

♥️Sister Hansen
