Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, this has been a wild week. And I'm so pumped to tell you all about it!
Last Tuesday after we had our last District Council of the transfer- SO SAD, but we did a lil testimony meeting and it was really powerful. Afterwards the Fort Payne Elders (Elders Hutchings and White) came and blitzed our area (basically we both did missionary work in Scottsboro) and they found a couple of cool people! Then they came with us to our dinner appointment with the Woods, because the Elders never get fed and it was so much fun! The Woods are just the coolest, and the Elders are pretty cool too.
On Wednesday we had some wild weather like it was COMING DOWN! It's about that time of year again where the weather gets crazy here (or is it just crazy all the time?) They were saying there was going to be quarter sized hail, there was no hail, sad, but our car is grateful, lol. On Wednesday night we had a call where we found out what would be happening with transfers! And I got transferred to Crestview, Florida!!!!!! I quite literally went from the top of the mission (Tennessee border) to the bottom. I'm so excited! But the crazy thing is that Sister Springer got transferred too, so Scotty B is getting a good ole whitewash. And Sister Moralez is coming back to Scottsboro, how crazy is that? Transfers are always so funny.
On Thursday we spent like the whole day packing and cleaning, it's so crazy to pack up my whole life in a day and move to a new state, but it's so fun. We also got to say goodbye to some members and friends. This day was also tough because we had to say goodbye to some of our missionary friends. I can truly say that last transfer when I heard I would be staying I was a little disappointed, I had already been in Scottsboro for 5 months and I didn't know why I still needed to be there, but this last transfer I have made some of the best friends I've ever made. These missionaries were just who I needed and I am so grateful that God put them in my life.
On Friday we had to boot scoot and boogie down to Montgomery, AL (like a 3 hour drive) in the pouring rain with a car full of belongings. We made it though, I got to see a bunch of my friends at the transfer meeting, then me and my new companion, Sister Rhodenizer headed down to Florida! (another 3 hour car ride in the pouring rain with a car full of things) We are opening a new are, it's Crestview 1B. Basically we share this area with Elders, but there weren't any Sisters here before us. We also live in a bougie house where a senior couple used to live. We are living our best Florida life! The only downside is that this house came with no food... oops.
Saturday was like our first real day in our area and when I tell you I forgot how to do missionary work, it's the weirdest feeling. We have no teaching pool, the ZLs said we don't really do much tracting in this zone and all of the info about our members hasn't sunk into our app yet. So we were lost. We did a lot of social media work that day.
Sunday was such a good day. We got to go to church and meet so many members (the challenge is remembering all their names and faces) we made a friend in the ward, she's a young woman and her name is Kaylee, too. (We're pretty tight) From what I've seen so far this ward is awesome, like they are so down for missionary work and they're just super cool. Since we are sharing the ward with the elders we have dinner appointments with them sometimes and it's been so much fun!
I think Florida is going to be amazing, keep your eyes peeled for palm tree and beach pics (my area doesn't actually cover the beach but I'm gonna get there one day!)

Spiritual thought:
I've been reading this document that our mission leaders sent us to read about a missionary who was really good at working with the members and it has strengthened my testimony of member missionary work! The members of the church do so much that missionaries can't, really it's the members work and we are just here to help. I know that God has a work for all of us to do and when we trust in Him we can do it! Also don't forget that God has a plan for you! I promise he does, he has proven to me that he has a plan for me and I know he's got big plans for you!
Oh, I just love you all so much, thanks for all you do.
Sending my love from Florida this time
❤️Sister Hansen
