Hey everyone!!
It has been such a good weeeeeek!! We actually have been so busy and seen so many miracles which is always the best!
Let me give you some lil hi-lights:
- we visited some members who have some butterflies!
- On Tuesday I learned how to "plarn" which is making plastic yarn out of plastic bags you get from the store. It's a service project with a bunch of ladies in the community and they are so stinkin funny! We love them
- got to visit with a family in our ward, the Tatros! We had a really good visit with them
- we had district council this week and it was a full house, there were 12 missionaries there with the STLs
- I went on exchanges to Fort Walton with Sister Covarubbias! She's a Hermana so we got to do some Spanish work which was so fun! I actually understood a lot of what they were saying in the lessons but unfortunately wasn't able to contribute. We had a great time though and got to go to clase de ingles!
- We honestly saw so many miracles this week which was amazing! On Saturday we were in the Walmart parking lot and we met a guy named Andy who was super interested in learning more! We got a follow up with him so we are super excited to keep teaching him!
- we got to have one last dinner with the Simmons before they move out of the ward, they are a super sweet could and Sister Simmons was baptized last December and she had such a strong testimony she's such an inspiration to me!
- On Saturday we had so many lessons like all day which was awesome!
- Yesterday at church there was a guy that the Elders had invited to come to church and he came! But he also decided to share his testimony with the congregation. He got up and told us all about how it's good to be different and he's like "look at me, I'm in church I'm smoking a joint, I've got a joint behind my ear" and he was swearing at the pulpit in a wife beater. Needless to say, our Bishop had to invite him to sit down. He left after he bore his testimony and told one of the Elders that he was getting in too much trouble, haha!
- We also had an hour long meeting with one of the counselors in our mission presidency which was kinda fun.
Oh, it was a good week!
Spiritual thought:
I can just testify that there is power in having faith. I know that when we have faith miracles can happen but we have to do what God asks us to do. I know that God is ready and willing to bless us and sometimes we are the ones who deny ourselves the blessings. So go have some faith!
I love y'all. Send me a message.
❤️Sister Hansen
