7/22/2024 - Week 72 - I love the South

Hey everyone! I hope y'all have had a great week.

Let me sum up my week for you. Lowkey, I feel like not much happened but that's okay. We got to have our first interviews with President Trusty this week which was so awesome! We got to visit with him and Sister Trusty for a little bit and so that was fun.

We had dinner with a family and they have 6 kids. At one point one of the boys was doing something that his mom asked him not to do and she goes "you are this close to having a funeral and the missionaries are already here to bless it. We can go dig a hole in the backyard". I was dyingggg, it was so funny!

Also last Monday we had a dinner appt and our members were like if you are one minute late we aren't letting you in (bc we have been late before) and we got caught in the terrible Crestview traffic and we were stressing that we were gonna be late. We changed our clothes in the car on the freeway, but we made it to dinner on time! It was truly a miracle.

We went on exchanges with the STLs this week and that was fun. Our STLs are so cute, but I missed my bestie Sis Hush... :( we did go to Chick-fil-a twice in one day though!

We helped a new sister in our ward unpack and I put Hermana Boatwright in a body bag. We also played Life with this one family for FHE and I ended the game with 420,000 dollars of debt... I think I lost.

Yesterday we got to have breakfast with the Boyds, some of our favorite members. It was a true southern breakfast, grits and biscuits and gravy.

We also made a sick music video last night, it's pretty cute!

Spiritual thought:
Recently I've been listening to President Nelson's talk called The Power of Spiritual Momentum and he talks about the importance of getting on the covenant path and staying there. And I love the concept of having the momentum to keep going and keep doing what God asks us to do because once we stop then it's so much harder to start again! I can just testify that staying faithful to God's commandments and doing what He asks us to do will bring us so much joy! And I know that God wants to bless us and he wants us to be happy. Mosiah 2:41 :)

Sorry this is kinda lame, but I love y'all so much and I hope y'all are well. If y'all wanna do me a favor and pray for us to find the people in our area who are ready to receive the gospel, that would be appreciated!
