1/1/24 - Week 43 - 2024? Sounds fake

Hello, hello! And Happy New Year! I actually find it hard to believe that its 2024- or that 2024 is a real year. But here we are!

Last Monday was Christmas and we got to have a dinner with some members in the Weatherly sisters ward! Because we live so far from Huntsville we couldn't go back for a dinner in Scottsboro but they invited us and the Fort Payne Elders to their dinner! It was so nice of them and so much fun! They and a cute little cat and this cat had Elder White wrapped around his little paw. It was funny. After dinner we went caroling with the sisters and it was so much fun! This one guy was so excited to have carolers because they had never had any before!!

The next day we went on exchanges with the weatherly sisters and I got to go with Sister Lewis in Scottsboro! It was so much fun, she is so sweet and just a wonderful missionary!

This week sister springer found a guy over facebook who is interested in learning more! Which is great, because we put a lot of effort into finding people that way but sometimes its hard to see success from it. Long story short she had a great lesson with him over the phone and at the end of it he asked her out... it was so sad

On Friday we had a lesson set up and we invited Brother and Sister Wood to join us, when we got there there was a sign on the door that said they were out of town :( it's always the worst when that happens when we have members with us. And we were trying to figure out what to do when we turned around and saw some other people we are teaching sitting right on their front porch! So we had a great lesson with them! It was such a miracle that they were there.

On Saturday we went over to help one of our members who is an older lady, she needed help making sausage balls... they're made of ground sausage, cheese, and Bisquick. We made almost 200 sausage balls 😳 it was fun!

Yesterday was New Years Eve!!!! It really felt like another day as a missionary haha, but last night after our dinner we were out knocking some doors and this little schnauzer doggo started following us around. He came with us to every door we knocked on, and all the neighbors knew him. His name is Rocco... Elder Rocco. He's a proselyting puppy.

Spiritual thought:
Well we have a new year ahead of us and that means a whole new year of opportunities to learn and grow and testify of Jesus Christ! Its like we have this fresh start to change! And that's what repentance is- change! So we have a whole year full of opportunities to repent and draw closer to Jesus Christ! I hope that going into this year we can all set goals to change and become better and help those around us become better!

Love y'all
