12/25/2023 - Week 42 - Merry Christmas!

Merry, merry Christmas my friends! I am so excited and grateful for this Christmas season!

I'm gonna try to keep it brief because today is crazy, but this week we had our Christmas zone conference! It was so much fun, we had a talent show and scripture memorization contest! I participated in the talent show by playing the melodica and hula hooping at the same time! (Text me if you want the video and I'll send it to you) but zone conference was so amazing, I love President and Sister Chibota so much, they really are amazing leaders and always share the right messages with us.

We had a lesson the other day with this guy from Jamaica? And he keeps telling us that he can read us. He says I am the protector in this companionship... interesting.

We had a lesson with Jamie at the Wood's house this week and it was super awesome!

Yesterday Sister Springer and I sang in our branch's choir! We had a lot of fun, and sacrament meeting was so good! Some members shared Christmas stories about bringing Christ into Christmas, I loved it. And last night we went over to the Wood's for Christmas Eve dinner and exchanged presents it was so much fun! I love our branch here

This morning we made crepes and I dropped my phone in the crepe batter, but its okay. We made our way over to Huntsville and had a white elephant gift exchange with the other missionaries near us, I ended up with Icy Hot for kids- just what I wanted.

Spiritual thought:

Where do I even start? How can I sum up my gratitude and excitement for this Christmas day in one spiritual thought? All I can say is that I have come to know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that He came to save us and that only through Him are we saved. I'm so blessed to live knowing that Christ is my Savior and Im grateful to get to share that with the people here. I wish all of you a very merry Christmas and I thank you all for all you've done for me. I'll leave you with this scripture.

Mosiah 3:5, 7-8
5 For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and curing all manner of diseases.
7 And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.
8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary.

Merry Christmas! Love y'all!
