Heyyyy,
Let me tell you about my week...
Last Monday we got together as a district in Huntsville and we were going to go to the Space and Rocket Center but the Elders decided that they didn't want to go (aka they didn't want to spend money) but instead we made gingerbread houses and one Elder made a gingerbread castle, lol. We had a fun time.
Basically we had a normal week until Wednesday night when we had the call to find out what would happen with transfers!!!! On Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our district which is always sad, but I know the next district will be amazing too! So we hopped on the call and it turns out that I will be staying in Scottsboro and Sister Moralez is going down to Mobile! She is so sad to leave Scottsboro, but I think she will have so much fun!
The next day we spent packing and saying good bye to members and friends! The day between finding out transfer news and the actual transfer day is always so crazy. We got to meet up with Jamie at the church and it was so nice to see her again, it's been awhile. We are praying that she will be able to be baptized soon.
On Friday we got up bright and early to make the 3 hour drive down to Prattville, Alabama for our transfer meeting! We made it safely and got to see some of our missionary friends! It was a good meeting, President Chibota was in such a goofy mood he was cracking jokes left and right.
My new companion is Sister Springer! She was serving in Destin, Florida which is on the other side of the mission! She loves it up here and she is so amazing! She's so sweet and I just love being with her. We took our journey back up to Scottsboro and we made it!
Last night in Huntsville there was a cute Christmas festival! They had a choir and orchestra concert and a live nativity walk through! It was so impressive! I love Christmas! And I got to see a lot of members from Decatur! I wasn't expecting that! And I also got to see Don who got baptized a little after I left Decatur! I was so so so glad I got to see him! I love Don.
It has been a great week and I am excited for this next transfer, it's going to be so good.
I also hit my 9 month mark this week which is absolutely wild. I feel like I just got here and now I'm about halfway through. Where does the time keep going???
Spiritual thought:
Yesterday in church we had our fast and testimony meeting and one member shared his testimony and he talked about being prepared to stand before the Lord at judgment day. When that day comes will we be ready to account for all the things we did in this life? And that really hit hard. Because on the mission time seems very limited and we want to take advantage of all the time we have but sometimes I think we forget that that also applies to normal life. We only have so much time and we need to do all we can to serve the Lord with the time that we have. So that was on my mind, and I know that's definitely something I can improve on!
I love you all- thank you for your sweet messages and I hope you have a fantastic week!
❤️Sister Hansen
