Hey friendssss!
I have no idea what happened this week, tbh.
Oh wait yeah I do, lol. On Tuesday we had dinner with these awesome members, the Olsen's and they invited our friend, Shannan and her daughters to come! It was so awesome and we got to teach them the Restoration and it was fantastic. The next day we had a lesson with Shannan and homegirl had so many questions, it was awesome. We were able to answer her questions using the BoM and the Bible. We also did some service again for this sweet lady named Evie, we were helping her put some chicken wire over the little enclosure she made for her chickens so they won't fly out. She is so precious and we had so much fun.
On Thursday we had our District Council and afterward President and Sister Chibota came and we had interviews with President. It's always so good to see them, they are awesome people. We always get words of wisdom from Sister Chibota when everyone else is in their interview with Prez. Right after interviews we went to go help a less active sister with some yard work, aka her whole backyard is weeds and she wanted them gone, so we started pulling weeds it was completely awesome.
Plot twist, the next day we actually went back to help with the weeds again! I think we made a little dent in the yard so that's pretty cool. the really cool thing is that I've never had an area where we actually have opportunities to do service on a regular basis, but we have that here! And I LOVE doing service! It is so fun, I'm vibing.
On Saturday our ward had a little Easter breakfast and games for the kiddos! Shannan came and brought her girls and they had so much fun! I love our ward and our friends so much. Also Sister Pennington, the less active member who we were helping with her weeds, came to the activity with her ADORABLE children! It's such a miracle. And she came to church the next day! So did our friend, Jasmine who has the cutest lil daughter (who also reminds me of my precious niece, Mabel). THERE ARE SO MANY CUTE KIDS IN THIS WARD! It's actually not fair because I'm not allowed to hold them or squeeze them and they're so squeezeable. 🥲
Also this morning Sister Rhodenizer and I went and taught the Restoration to our friend Jasmine at 7:15, which I have never done before. Our P-day doesn't start until 8 so we were chilling but it was kinda wild.
Also we had some awesome member meals this week, one of them was with us and both sets of elders, thats 7 missionaries folks, that's a lot. These members are awesome!
This week actually flew by it was so crazy! I hope y'all are doing well, send me a message if you want to!
Spiritual thought:
This week is EASTER! I can't believe it's Easter again and I'm so excited to get to talk about it and learn about it and study about it, its just the best. I wanna invite y'all to take time this week to study the events that happened during Holy Week, Because it is so awesome. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that the Book of Mormon gives us and that we have the knowledge of Christ's Atonement and suffering in the garden of Gethsemane! Because fun fact, most other churches don't actually know a lot about that, they just think that Christ went to the garden to pray for strength to suffer on the cross (because there isn't actually a lot on it in the new testament!). But because we have the Book of Mormon we know that "And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. 12 and he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people, and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities." (Alma 7:11-12) Basically I'm so grateful for the BoM and I know that it is true, y'all should really read it!
Have an amazing week, sorry this was so chaotic, I'll catch ya next time!
Go Gator!
♥️Sister Hansen
