Hello, hello squad
This has been a crazy week actually. On Tuesday we were having dinner with Shannan and Eric and teaching them when I was pulling up a scripture on my phone I saw that I missed a call from President Chibota so that was a lil nerve racking, but we called him back and he asked me if I would be willing to train again! So I said yes! The next day we had our District Council in the morning and right after we had a crazy storm, the rain was coming down like crazy, luckily we were inside. Pictures and videos don't do it justice, but it's crazy. The rain died down enough for us to go teach Jasmine and we put her on date to be baptized! We are super excited for her! We went back to the church building to find out transfer news with the rest of the district! One of the ZLs that we ward share with is now going to be an AP so that's crazy (we all called it though) Sis Rhodie is going home and I'm training a new sister!
The next day Sister Rottweiler packed up all her things and said some goodbyes. We had dinner with the Loughmiller's and Sis L is a photographer so she took some fire pics of us. We drove up to Montgomery that night to stay the night with some sisters there before the transfer meeting in the morning, but when we were 5 minutes away from their place our car said "reduced engine power" and started CHUGGIN it only wanted to go like 30 miles per hour so we pulled into a gas station and called our vehicle coordinator... this was all at like 9:45 pm too. The sisters saved us and the next morning we got the car to chug over to the church. The vehicle coordinators got us a new whip to drive so we're good now.
On Friday we had our transfer meeting and I met my new companion Sister Huish! At our transfer meetings they announce the trainers/trainees and everyone cheers and it was so fun. And if you ask Elder Sutton (newest AP) I am a Griddy King... (i don't really know what that means either) But Sister Huish and I made it safely back to Crestview and we're living our best lives!
We had dinner and a nerf war with the Olsen's on Saturday night, that was Sis Huish's first dinner in a members home, it was fully awesome. Then yesterday we had a few of our friends at church and Sister Huish got to meet them! So many amazing testimonies were shared by the youth of our ward too, they're just too cool.
Basically mission life is awesome, it can be pretty hard sometimes, but I really do love it. It's pretty sweet.
Also congrats to Sister Rhodenizer and my mission mama Sister Hyde for successfully finishing their missions! I love and miss them so much!!!
Spiritual thought:
I've been studying in Alma 8 and this is when Alma is preaching to the people of Ammonihah, but he is rejected hardcore so he leaves, but then he is commanded by an angel to return and preach to the people. And it says "now it came to pass that after Alma had received his message from the angel of the Lord he returned speedily to the land of Ammonihah" I don't know about you, but I don't know how speedily I would return to the land especially after being rejected so hard. It's important for us to obey God's commands immediately and to do what He asks of us. Not only because it will be what's best for us, but because God uses us to help others too! And as Alma was obedient God provided for his needs! He met Amulek who let him in and fed him and became one of his best friends! So basically, let's just do what God asks because He knows better.
I love y'all, thank you so much for all the love and support
