4/29/2024 - Week 60 - That ain't right

Hello, hello!

I think I'm just gonna make a list of things that happened this week for y'all:

- we were trying to public contact at the park and waved at these two ladies who just completely ignored us. That hurt
- dinner with Shannan and Eric! Always so fun getting to visit with them. I also had a brain fart while we were there and forgot how to be a missionary
- while knocking doors a lady told us that she couldn't talk because her dogs bite
- dinner with the Olsen family! I love them.
- FHE with the Hannons and Elder Bird did not win Uno this time! We did it!
- got to go on exchanges with Sister Dent! We visited with a couple different members and one of them gave us a Chipotle gift card!
- met a new person to teach named Henry! We taught him while on exchanges and again after church with a member!
- visited with an old lady named Myrna who called out Sister Huish for checking her watch while we were there. She also has dementia and her stories were wild!
- on Saturday the Elders had a baptism!!! I was called on that morning to give a talk at the baptism, so that was fun!
- the members have been feeding us tacos like crazy lately. Idk if they have a secret group chat where they all conspire on what to feed us, but hey I like tacos! Go feed the missionaries some tacos!
- Sister Huish and I have perfected the art of "horizontal meditation"
- we keep saying "that ain't right" in a southern accent when anything crazy happens
- found a house that was surrounded and guarded by cats
- the APs came into town so we got to see Elder Sutton again
- found a street sign that says Alabama
- exchanged back with the sisters at a campground in the actual middle of nowhere

Idk you guys, being a missionary is so cool, I literally love it!

Spiritual thought:
Alma 7:14
"Now I say unto you that ye must repent and be born again for the spirit saith if ye are not born again ye cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven therefore come and be baptized unto repentance that ye may be washed from your sins that ye may have faith on the lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world who is mighty to save and to cleanse from all unrighteousness"
I testify that Baptism is the way to build your relationship with God and Jesus Christ and that through them we are saved from sin and death. The restored gospel is the best thing in my life, it has brought me so much joy and comfort in this life. I love my heavenly father and  Jesus Christ and I know they love you so much

Have a great week!!!!
