Hello my friends, welcome to another week in the life of Sister Hansen,
On Monday night we heard from some other sisters that all the sisters were wearing blue to zone conference so we picked out our blue outfits haha. Then on Tuesday we pulled up to zone conference and most of the sisters were wearing blue so we fit right in. Zone conference was so good, I think Sister Chibota was talking directly to me with some of the things she was telling us haha. We learned a lot of good things and how we can be better missionaries 💪and of course I got to see Sister Goff! She's so amazing and it was good to see her! Also at zone conference we got a new car let's goooo!
Right after zone conference we started companion exchanges, so Sister Hyde went with Sister birchall to Cullman and sister Lord's came with me to Decatur! We had a good exchange, and we even called a member of our ward last minute to come to a lesson and he said he could come! It turned out really good.
The rest of the exchange went well and we talked to some good people. We talked to KJ and reset his date to be baptized for June 10th! We werent sure if it would actually work out for him to be baptized that day though. That night we switched back with our comps and sis Hyde and I had dinner with this fun couple in our ward, they had some cool stories!
On Thursday morning I woke up feeling very sick. I had acquired a head cold somewhere and I was not having a good time. But the work must go on! So we went out and talked to people haha.
On Friday we talked with KJ and we finally feel like he's ready to bw baptized and ge feels ready to, so the baptism is on! We also met our recent convert Tim at culvers for lunch then he joined us for a lesson after, he's so funny. On Saturday morning one of the elders in our district wanted us to pick up a Facebook marketplace watch that he found hahaha. We got it and did some finding around there too lol. Later we were walking to meet with our friend don and his neighbor, Opel was picking up magnolia leaves in her front yard so we stopped to help her! We also spent quite a bit of time making plans for KJs baptism which is exciting a stressful!
On Sunday we had 3 of our friends at church! It was so awesome! Also at church they switched up some of the callings so we got a new relief society president and ward mission leader! And the new ward mission leader is brother Knapp who is one of KJs best friends in the ward, such a miracle! OnSunday Sister Hyde started feeling sick too 😬 and we were fasting and it was roughhhhh but we survived.
It was a good week, kind of wild and I am feeling better now so hopefully next week will be even better!
KJ will be baptized this Saturday, June 10th and we are so excited for him!
Spiritual thought:
To prepare for zone conference we were invited to read "The Imperfect Harvest" by elder Stanfill. I love this talk so much, it talks about how we do all that we can and God makes up the rest. He talks about how perfectionism is not the same as being perfected in christ, we aren't asked to be perfect because we can't be. It's so wonderful to know that God will make up for our shortcomings everytime and that even though we will never be perfect, we can be perfected in Christ!
I love you all, have an amazing week!
Happy birthday and graduation to parker!
❤️Sister Hansen
