Hello everyoneee!
This week we had a member come out with us to some lessons and she was baptized about 11 months ago, but she is the coolest person ever! She's the sweetest southern lady ever! She was like "I left my husband at home with a whole bag of cookies and he ate them already! What am I going to feed you for supper? Pepto Bismal I guess." I was dyingggg. We had some awesome lessons with her too!
One of the days Sister Gerratt's friends from her previous area drove to meet us for lunch! They are a super cool family and they have been learning about the church, but they're not members. Super funny people and we had a good time with them
We taught this guy named Roger who hasn't gone to church since he was a kid because the church he went to had snakes and the guy would take them out of their cages and I guess he wasn't about that. We promised there are no snakes in our church, but he wasn't interested.
We went out to this town outside of Scottsboro to visit a referral with some members and when we got there he was on the phone and he came out and we introduced ourselves and he was like give me a few minutes Im on the phone. We waited there for 15 minutes before he came back out. But we gave him a Book of Mormon!
This lady weve been teaching for awhile hasn't read the Book of Mormon because she's dyslexic and she's not good with technology so she finally got her Book of Mormon cds in the mail and she's finally been listening to it!!!! Im so happy that she gets to have it in her life!!! We also talked to this lady named Carol who is a member that hasn't come to church since the 70s and she promised she would be at church!!!
We helped out one of our members with her housework then she made up arepas con queso and they were SCRUM DILLY!
Theres a missionary leaving from our branch and he spoke in church on Sunday! And, Carol came to church!!!! We were so happy that she was there!
We had dinner with the Wood family and their daughter had invited her friend to church earlier that day! What a cool missionary. We had an awesome discussion with them and the spirit was strong!!
Sorry this email is crazy, but its also transfer week so on Wednesday we find out if we're staying or going, I'll let you know next week what the deal is, haha.
Spiritual Thought: Sooo, I'm like everyone else and I've started watching The Chosen and it's so good! I've also been reading the gospels and it brings so much life to these people! I love reading the New Testament and being able to picture these events. Just know that Jesus loves you and He knows you❤️ and I love you too. Keep studying those scriptures!
