Hello hello,
Last Monday we went to the new chic fil a that just opened in Scottsboro!!! Yummy. We also drove down to Birmingham Monday night to stay with the sisters there and we had a good time! The next morning we completed our drive down to Prattville to go to MLC (mission leadership council or something like that) because Sister Gerratt is our STL. We had a good time, and I liked hearing all the cool things the leadership in the mission is working on. MLC pretty much took up our whole day because we had a 3 hour drive back to scotty b.
On Wednesday we had district council and afterwards we had an exchange with the weatherly sisters and I got to go to weatherly with sister goff!!!! I love her so much!!!! What an iconic duo. We literally had way too much fun. We did service and had a youth activity night at their ward and got to paint pumpkins. We did the work, but we were having a blast and a half. We exchanged back the next day and went back to work in scotty b.
On Friday morning a senior couple the Martineaus came by to "shepherd" us and inspect our apartment. They said that our apartment was clean 😁 it was so good to get to chat with them and get to know them more, and they brought us cookies! Too cool!
The next day we had lunch with mama reyes and she said we were having hen soup- I was like hen soup? It was chicken soup with a whole chicken in this stock pot. Mama said she took all the organs out, but Sister Gerratt got the gizzard in her soup, lol! She didn't eat it, haha. Later that day we went out to see Jamie and she made us some pretzel salad- yum. We also visited our friend Carolann who is hard to get ahold of sometimes so it was good to see her.
Yesterday Jamie came to church! She almost didnt but we called her before church and woke her up so she got to come!
Spiritual thought:
Yesterday in relief society we talked about President Ballard's talk "remember what matters most" and he talks about his experiences with postponing promptings from the spirit and how important it is to listen to the spirit when it prompts you. Ive been thinking about it because it can be so hard to listen to the spirit sometimes. The spirit prompts us to do silly things sometimes but there is always a reason and a purpose and I know that our lives and the lives of others will be blessed when we listen to the spirit!!!!
Love y'all have a great week!!!!
❤️ Sister Hansen
